Chapter 66

Liam’s POV

The weather was great so Samantha suggested we go hunting into the forest. I followed behind Samantha and the crew as we headed into the forest searching for prey to hunt.

The forest was buzzing with life and I let my eyes stray to the canopy of trees above me to get a glimpse of the birds singing and chirping happily on the trees.

The sun streamed through the trees, illuminating the path for us as we travelled down the path that led deep into the forest. The path was littered with wild flowers, grass and dead leaves that crunched underneath my feet with each step I took.

My ears twitched as I took in every sound in the forest, from the birds to the animals deep in the forest even though we couldn’t see them.

I walked a little bit faster so I could catch up with Samantha who walked quickly and stealthily. She was never one for mindless conversation but I was willing to try to have one with her.
