Chapter 63
Daniel’s POV
Jumping over bodies and clumsily stumbling on them, I was heartbroken that there wasn’t a survivor. They were all cold dead.
I stumbled on a body, and fell. Then I came face to face with the body whose thoughts I had woken up with. My body tensed, his body was just as lifeless as the other bodies.
He had been convinced to fight for the death of his mother, I was sure of it. That was probably how they recruited most of the fighters.
Now, the mother was dead and so was the son. This boy could have lived, he could have lived through and not thought about avenging his mom’s death but he was convinced that he could and should avenge his mother’s death.
All this could have been avoided. They might have not taken so many lives and even probably expanded our pack if they had simply apologized for the death of the pack’s pups but Gabriel’s ego was too inflated, he couldn’t and wouldn’t do anything that would deflate it.
