Daniel’s POV

I walked aimlessly around my house, I felt restless and unsettled in many ways, I knew I needed someone to talk to. Cass has been busy lately taking care of Alexa and her mother, I wouldn’t know if she would have time to spare. Even if she had time to spare, I don’t know if I would be able to tell her about Gabriel.

I wanted to be with Cass no doubt but I couldn’t see her get hurt either, if only Gabriel wasn’t such a jerk. I decided to take in a deep breath and relax, I needed to think straight, besides, I wasn’t sure if she would have the time to hear me out eventually.

I walked towards Alexa’s house given that she had been taking care of Alexa and her mother. I had made up my mind to talk to Cass, even if I suddenly lose the courage to tell her, seeing her will be enough for me. Even if that means I will be haunted by the secret within me, I was willing to keep the smile I cherish the most from turning upside down.

I stood in front of
