Chapter 69
Daniel’s POV
A smile graced my face as I bade goodbye at Cassandra. I found it difficult to look away from her smiling face.
“Get going,” she shooed me away laughingly.
I smiled as I waved at her for the last time and turned, I started to walk away.
I hadn’t taken more than seven steps when I turned back to look at her and at the same time, she also turned. We both blushed and looked away again. Then we turned again, and this time she was about to turn a corner, we waved at each other and she turned the corner, getting out of sight.
I smiled to myself. I was happy that we had met and talked. Just seeing her smile made me happy and content. And just this short meeting made my day.
We had spent most of our morning together, updating each other over the events of the days when we didn’t see, filling the holes that I was scared would drift us apart.
