Cassandra’s POV

The wooden raft silently floated across the calm waters, slightly rocking occasionally as the fishes jumped in and out of the water, disrupting its calm. The water in the area where we currently are was filled with aquatic plants and the water in this side was blue green, it wasn’t as blue as the waters that awaited us in front.

The shadows of the tree branches that stretched up above our heads appeared on the water. I looked back to where we came from, we weren’t even half the width of the river but we were far from the shore. I squinted my eyes, and looked ahead, but all I could see was shimmery blue; a vast expanse of water far ahead.
