When Eve saw the dead body of the love of her life, Marco, she couldn't scream, she couldn't cry, she just froze.

How could the man she had seen looking healthy and strong a few days ago suddenly become a lifeless corpse waiting to be buried.

"I am sorry," Juan said to her, trying to comfort her. "I know this is going to be a difficult thing to bear."

"Difficult?" Eve was confused with the way Juan described her situation. He described it in a way that made it seem as if he was trying his best not to escalate the fire. "The father of my child is dead and you are calling it a difficult thing."

Juan did not respond because he felt that somehow, he was to be held responsible for the death of Marco even though he wasn't involved in it.

"You know what this means," Eve said to Juan. "It means you let me and my husband down. Just take a look at him."
