Chapter 33. Expecting Alexander's Baby
When Serenity woke up, it was late afternoon, but she felt much better, the nausea having subsided. Sandra came to check up on her after fifteen minutes and looked pleased at seeing her better.
“Feeling better?” Serenity nodded at her. “Can you go downstairs to eat or should I bring something for you here?”
“My head’s spinning and I don’t think I can go down.” Serenity felt bad knowing that her new family might find her behaviour a little odd, but she couldn’t possibly go downstairs in this condition.
“No problem, Serenity. I’ll get you something to eat.”
“Please call me Sera. Everyone at home does.”
“It’s a lovely name. I’ll call you Sera.” Sandra smiled at her warmly and left to get her food. She returned after thirty minutes with chicken
