Chapter 9

Miranda and I wait at our usual table while Olive and Sandra get our lunch. Miranda stands up to stretch and I eye her. 

"Don't your shoulders hurt?" I ask.

"A little, but I gotta stretch it out, I feel numb," she replies.

Olive and Sandra return with what I think is our food and Miranda sits back down. "Everyone is crazy for food today, but we managed to get something for you guys," Olive tells us as she gives me and Miranda each a hoagie.

"You could've got me a hamburger," Miranda complains, eyeing the hoagie.

"Thanks guys," I say.

"You're welcome, Sam," Olive replies, giving Miranda a look.

I am about to eat my hoagie when realization hits me and I pause, opening the sandwich to see what's inside.

"Sandra?" I call and she hums in response.

"By the way, what was in my hoagie yesterday?" I ask.
