Chapter 14
"What's this?" Miranda asks as she picks up a piece of paper with some scribblings on it. We are getting ready to go to bed after several hours of chatting about things that matter and things that don't, arguing on whether to watch a movie or go to bed early. Well, if you must know, we chose the former and now we're proudly going to bed way past midnight. The girl has already gotten herself comfy in one of my pajamas and slippers and I don't even know when that happened.
"It's just some audition lines I was preparing for an audition a while ago, it's nothing," I dismiss it.
"Wait, 'Nobody Does It Better'? You auditioned for that film?" Miranda asks in surprise.
"I told you it's nothing!" I try to snatch the paper from Miranda's hands but she put her hand up and I can't reach it cause she's taller than me. "Fine, I auditioned for it a few months ago," I confess.
"You didn't get the role you auditioned for?" She asks like the answer isn't obvious.
