Chapter 18

Freya Rose

I awoke from my slumber, and I was in my comfy bed. I had no clue how I got there, and half of the night before was missing from my memory. I sat up and yawned while stretching my arms to the sky. I could smell singed and burnt objects when I took a deep breath through my nose. I lowered my arms and opened my eyes. It took a few blinks to get them to focus, but when they did, I gasped. My room was covered in scorch marks and burnt furniture. The bed sheets were almost crisp, and the carpet had been burnt so badly in places that you could see the scorched wooden floorboards. What the hell had happened? I gathered that I had destroyed my room as I was the only one in the cabin with Phoenix firepower, but I couldn't remember what happened.

“Tristan. Tristan, wake up!” I yelled at him while shaking his shoulder. He moaned a little, then began to roll over to face me. He had red burn marks all over him. His face, his chest, his legs. The burns were everywhere.
