I sat there waiting for Tristan to explain himself. My insides were shaking like a leaf, and I hoped to God that he had a valid reason for hunting me like an animal and for killing my dad. I know I had done some awful things, specifically to him, but that was inexcusable. I doubted anything he said would allow me to forgive him.
