Chapter 29

Samael Wulf

The doors of the glass cages slid open, and everyone rushed out. I half expected them to go for me and beat my ass, but to my surprise they didn’t. Traian made his way past the crowd and got into my face. I didn’t try to move or escape him because I knew I had everything coming to me. Whatever he wanted to do, I deserved it all as far as I was concerned. While hissing into my face, he said,

“I should kill you right here, right now, but I am giving you one chance to prove yourself to us and Freya.” I lowered my head in a half-nod, half-bow kind of way. “It's not for me to decide what happens to you. It's Freya’s choice. However, if you fuck up and put her in danger one more time, you’re going to wish you’d never been born, do you understand?”

“I do, and I promise I will never hurt her again.”

“You better not because there is a long line of people that want to torture and kill you,” Marik added, and I heard a few people hum in agreement.
