Chapter 65. Please Just Be Fine

Amelia’s POV

“Amelia! Where are you? I hope you’re fine? I just saw the news, Nolan was shot by Sophie, and she is with the police.”

That was the text I got from Richard. I was surprised to hear from him, even more than I was at, the fact that the news of Nolan being shot had spread across the entire country.

As I sat there, in the hospital lobby waiting for the doctors that had rushed Nolan into surgery to step out, I impatiently tapped my feet against the floor, trying to block out the heavy smell that always hung in the air in hospitals.

Nolan had to survive! He had to be fine. I said to myself over and over again that it became an anthem at one point, and I couldn’t even focus on anything else. I was almost on the verge of a nervous breakdown, but I had to keep myself together for Nolan. He would need me to be strong for him so he can actually make it out of this.

He didn’t take a bullet for me, just for me to break down like that. That was w
