Amelia’s POV

It’s been two days since the accident, and Sophie was still on the run from the cops. Dad assumed she had finally returned to her family to avoid the whole going to jail thing while Richard was mostly away from the house because he couldn’t stand the way father clapped back at him with harsh words almost all the time.

Mom insisted I moved back in with the family so I had no choice than to start living with everyone, at least it would take my mind off Nolan’s health and the whole drama that had gone down.

He really jumped in front of a gun because of me! He really wanted to protect me that badly. I thought to myself as I turned around restlessly in bed.

If I wasn’t with Nolan at the hospital, then I was locked up in my room thinking about him. To ensure I got enough sleep and rest, Mom drafted out a timetable for me to be at the hospital and at home, and if I didn’t follow it, she threw a tantrum.
