Chapter 176. A Much-Needed Respite

Celeste’s POV

Luneth, Velvet, and I advanced toward the glowing yellow circle suspended high in the sky. As we neared it, the circle brightened, radiating a soft, golden light. Stepping through that luminous portal, everything around us turned to liquid gold, as though we had passed into a world forged from sunlight itself.

“Welcome to the Spirit World, Celeste,” Luneth announced, her voice echoing gently in the shimmering air. “Here dwell the spirits of old—our forebears.” All around us, thousands of spectral wolves drifted and danced across the golden night sky, their forms shimmering like particles of stardust.

Velvet tilted her head, gazing in wonder. “Wait,” she said, voice full of curiosity, “so all of these…are werewolves from the past?”

“Exactly,” Luneth confirmed. “These spirits are our ancestors. We come from a long line of these noble wolves, and now they remain here in this realm. If you look over there, you’ll see those of my lineage.” She
