Chapter 63. Lycan’s Aftermath
Leon’s POV
I realized, too late, that I’d unleashed far more power than I was ready to handle. A hot trickle of blood poured from my nose onto the forest floor, and my Lycan transformation faded as abruptly as it had begun, leaving me reeling with waves of nausea and dizziness. My vision blurred, and my legs threatened to buckle beneath me.
“My Alpha, don’t move an inch!” Ronir’s voice cut through my disorientation. He sprinted toward me, but halted when he spotted one of the side-cut warriors trying to slip in close.
“No, it’s okay now,” the woman gasped, falling to one knee. “I submit. I fully submit myself to Leon! You are the true Alpha! We meant no real harm; we were desperate—starving—and believed taking over your village was our only path to survival. We thought you were weak, but we were wrong. You’re stronger than any of us!” Tears streamed down her face.
