Chapter 94. The Hunter Turned Monster
Eryndor’s POV
Only a few days had passed since I left the Umbra Veil pack’s village and bid farewell to Celeste, yet here I was, standing amid an unfamiliar forest. I knew that if I followed the eastern path I would eventually reach Aurion, but, as fate would have it, I’d managed to head in precisely the opposite direction. The trees here were tall and ancient, their dark trunks stretching skyward like silent sentinels, and the air was thick with the scent of damp earth and pine needles.
As I paused to catch my breath, I realized something else had changed: my hair had grown noticeably longer. I hadn’t cut it in months—much like some of the beasts I’d encountered in my journeys. Perhaps that was to be expected; after all, I was a hybrid. Such transformations were part and parcel of my nature.
Glancing down at my gear, I winced. My once-white tunic, a gift from the Stormclaw werewolves who had sheltered me only weeks before, was now stained a dull, grimy yell
