Chapter 36. Frightened and Dread

“Wake up! Sun is rising already!”

The Canis Force barrack was where Khaled currently stayed last night. He stayed there as he thought it might help him control his unusual vampire behavior. Khaled had opened his eyes and glimpsed Sebastian beside the bed. He looked like a human; he didn’t look too pale, rabid, or anything that showed he was different from humans. As he sat on the bed and hung his legs to the side, Sebastian gave him some pills; he didn’t know what it was. Before he could ask, Sebastian had already told him something.

“That’s a pill, obviously, but it can help you walk under the burning sunlight. I know it’s kinda hard for you to go out,” explained Sebastian, crossing his arms around his chest, then leaning against the wall.
