Chapter 17. The CEO's Invitation

Theo was pensive after Luc left, and after a few minutes he smiled and rang Giovanna's desk. No-one answered. He was worried. Had she left because of Luc's stupidity? He rang reception and she hadn't been there, which meant she hadn't left the building. His phone rang just as he was about to send the security guards to look for her, and he saw that the call was coming from her desk. He answered it.

"I saw you called here. I... I was in the bathroom. Can I help you?" Giovanna asked in a cold, cutting voice.

"Giovanna, come here, please." He said and hung up the phone.

Giovanna heard the click on the other end. He would probably sack her. He almost certainly would. What relationship did he have with the man? If they were friends, Luc would have asked for her head.
