Chapter 23. Nothing
The hostel where Giovanna rented a room didn't have a garage, so she had to leave her car on the street. That was another mistake. The next day, her car was stolen. She went to the police station and filed a police report, but saw in the eyes of the deputy that it was very unlikely that they would find the car.
According to him, car thefts in that region were common, and only twenty per cent of the time did they get the car back, but they were no longer any use on those occasions, as they were looted.
