Luc waited in the restaurant for about an hour before Theo arrived. Not that his rival was late, but because he liked to prepare things down to the smallest detail. The detective went through all the deals Giovanna had made while he was waiting in the restaurant, and he smiled. She had used exactly every cent the bank had offered her. What an idiot she was. She had already given the new instructions to the detective, and now she had to wait. She had no knowledge of her inheritance, but he could bet that she would spend every last cent in the first week.
