Chapter 43. Failed Attempt at Seduction

Even though he had no interest in Venice, Brendon had to admit that her beauty made all the men they passed look at him with envy.

They arrived at a store in the mall where he was used to buying his everyday clothes, and he asked Venice to try on some dresses. He sat in an armchair and watched as she walked past him, sipping a cognac served by a discreet waiter. But it wasn't her he saw. He could see Samira in each of those dazzling dresses, and when she appeared in a long silver one with green stone details, he knew that the dress had been tailor-made for Samira.
