I sat at the dining table, swirling spaghetti around my fork, without really making any effort to eat it. While it didn't give me the urge to throw up, at that moment my appetite was non-existent. Carter's direct threat on my father's life was still circling in my mind. On top of that, I couldn't help but wonder who he was working with. I was almost sure he wasn't in the kingdom, because if he were to get close to me, I would be able to scent him even if his scent were masked.
