"It's been over 24 hours since she locked herself up in the penthouse," I spoke, running my hand over my face. After finding out that Delaney was pregnant and breaking the spell, the next day when we drove to the office, she went to the penthouse and locked herself up with all the spare keys.

Kai breathed out loudly, his shoulders slumping forward. "I don't even know how to beg her anymore to open the door," he admitted, leaning on the wall beside the penthouse front door.

"Delaney, please." I knocked for the hundredth time, yawning. We'd stayed outside by the door the entire night, hoping and pleading with her to let us in, but every knock went unanswered. We could have broken in, but the last thing we wanted was to anger her even more. It was almost 9 a.m. when she eventually opened the door, rubbing her eyes with her left hand.
