The moment we couldn't locate Delaney, the world tilted on us. In one heartbeat Delaney had been in the office, and the next she was gone. My wolf took over, and even I didn't have control over him. The fur sprouted, ripping through my body without a warning, leaving my body heated. Without a second thought, my wolf broke into a run, the ground cracking beneath the weight of the paws as he pushed forward.

"Kai!" I sent through the mind-link. We had split around the town earlier, in a bid and desperation to locate Del. "Tell me you have found her." The word was half a plea, half a snarl, laced with hope and anticipation.
