The space outside the old three-storey house smelt like blood and burnt flesh, making my wolf's fur stand on my neck. What if we were late? What if Delaney was already gone and the smell of blood was hers? All these questions rushed into my mind as we ran through the woods, surrounding the house and everyone outside the compound.

My wolf frantically looked around as my warriors attacked the rogues, with the specific instruction not to hurt Ronan.
