I didn't know how much time had elapsed, or even what day it was since Carter had left me lost in my thoughts. My entire body ached from being stuck in one spot. My thoughts were scattered, some about Carter, others about my dad, Nyra, Elias and Maribel and mostly about my mates. My wolf was still inaccessible to me, leaving me feeling like a shell, completely empty.
"Goddess ple-ase," I called onto her weakly, attempting to raise my head to stare at the ceiling. I couldn't though, because a wave of nausea hit me, blinding me for a moment. My stomach rumbled, reminding me that I was being starved.
"I b-eg of you," I went on, closing my eyes as I trembled. Before I could say another word, the sound of footsteps filled the room.
