Chapter 56
Teddy wasn’t a meddlesome person, and he liked it when others were not meddlesome too. The second occurrence happened in the parking lot of the department building. His sister had arrived for them to sort out some of the details of his first divorce case. As usual, both siblings had been at loggerheads with each other. Teddy was saying one thing and trying to be firm in his decision, and so was his sister, with equal amounts of stubbornness.
At the end of the day, frustrated with the outcome of the conversation, Teddy slightly raised his voice at his sister with the hope that she would call a truce and probably agree with him. She did not do that. Instead, she shouted "Tomorrow" and began to get slightly physical, shoving him in the chest the most and then slamming the door of his car wildly and slamming it shut. Teddy was used to the drama that women thought they could use to put men in a corner and get them to accept their terms or conditions.
