It was during his wait that Fiona pulled over a police van right next to his. She rolled down the car window and smiled widely at him. Teddy might not have been in the best of moods, but he did smile back at her. Then he cussed under his breath because he knew that she was sent by the chief to monitor his progress on the mission.

Somehow, that made him dislike the man even more, but he resolved not to take out his frustration on the poor woman, so he smiled back and tried to engage in conversation. Apart from the fact that she had been working in Los Angeles with Kurt before he was transferred, and she had to tag along, and also the fact that she had once mentioned that she had a child who was getting a little sick, Teddy knew next to nothing about the woman.
