Chapter 20. Alpha’s Dilemma

Caius’s POV

I ran as fast as I could toward the lake, and along the way, I lost a little bit of my mind. As I got closer, I saw that Derek’s unit had already caught Elise and her friends. When he grabbed her, I wanted to run up to him and rip his arms off. I couldn’t take a chance of being caught. I told Chris that we were having trouble and that he should meet me at the lake.

Once I saw Derek’s hand slide down her stomach and his fingers play with the bottom of her swimsuit, I stopped trying to figure out what was going on. I had to stop him from using her, even if that meant putting myself in danger. Even though I was a cruel killer, I couldn’t let this happen.

I told Derek that I was coming down and that he should act like nothing was going on. Derek kept talking about how the kids beat him up, but they didn’t know that he had seen the whole thing. They surprised the kids in the water, and then he tried to take the princess for himself.
