Kalix’s POV

Owen needed me, and since Elise was probably in the dungeons, I was pretty much the only thing he could do to help his friend.

I softly knocked on Owen’s door and opened it slowly. I opened the door and then put my hands over my eyes. “It’s just me. How are you dressed? I don’t want to have permanent scars.”

Owen hit me in the head with his hand. “Get in here, idiot.”

“Oh man, that hurt. Even though I brought you guys food, this is what you give me in return?”

Owen took the food and put it on top of his dresser. Owen went back to pacing next to his bed instead of diving into his food, which made me smile less. He always did this when he was stressed or lost in his thoughts.

“Sibling, you have to eat. She will soon wake up. Elise hooked her up to everything, and she is already doing much better.” It was also true. Most of her face’s color was coming back, and the smaller wounds were getting better.
