Fiona woke up feeling happy for the first time in a long time, and it was ironically on the day after her abductor had been aggressive towards her for the first time. Such an abductor he was. Before she went to bed the previous night, she went over the night’s events and felt a school-girlish embarrassment when she remembered how intensely she had ranted.
