Chapter 257. Eighteen
Lo took her first real vacation days in months. She told Petra that she’d be coming over quite suddenly that the woman hadn’t really known how to react to that. She did a completely Petra thing though and planned a big welcome home meal.
I might still be out shopping when you get back so go in and take a rest when you get home, Petra’s text had read. Home. Lo didn’t want to laugh at it but she certainly felt the urge to do so.
Sure enough, Petra was still out shopping when she arrived. She knew the security passcode since the last time she was around and she punched it in and shoved her bag pack off her shoulder when she got in. There was a mirror at the foyer in Petra’s house and Lo allowed herself to gaze in it. She’d put on quite a bit of weight.
