Chapter 97. A Very Busy Man
Clyde McCarthy did not make it to the auction. Most people speculated on why he was absent, but Carlos knew. He was still very bitter about the way they had lost the auction the last time, so he had made sure that this year’s auction was most unpleasant for Clyde McCarthy. It was one of the things his team had devoted their time to while he took a vacation at his house in Albany and tortured the man’s daughter while he was at it.
He had dr****d McCarthy’s driver with a potent tranquilizer, and the man had fallen asleep on the road. The driver was lucky not to have been sniped because that would have been easier, though a little harder to deal with afterward. After putting the driver out of commission, he had had two of their best snipers silently take out the tires.
