Chapter 99. A Dangerous Man
Fiona had been in the Leopard Seal’s house for over a week now. She had examined every inch of the place and was already running through multiple escape plans. All of them, however, required her to take out the transmitter that was planted in her back.
Testing the grounds for even the smallest space where the transmission was missed had been a painful experience, but it had confirmed to her that there was no way for her to leave without getting rid of the device in her back. And that was a very tricky situation.
She definitely couldn’t do it on her own. It was placed shallow enough, just below the skin, but it was nestled between her shoulder blades. She could hardly touch the place with her hands, let alone take a knife to it.
The staff clearly wouldn’t help her. They hardly spoke to her unless absolutely necessary. The most voices she heard in the house besides her own when she read out loud were Jessica’s, the maid in charge of housekeeping, and Bill’s.
