Chapter 114. Safety Second

Savannah’s POV

“I’m sorry to interrupt, Alpha William,” Beta Jon says in a very serious manner. “But, we have a rather unexpected guest…”

“Is it Logan?” I blurt out, unable to control myself.

Beta Jon shakes his head and says, “It’s Carter from the Black Onyx Pack.”

Carter?!

I look over at dad and he looks just as shocked as I am.

“Did he say why he’s here?” Dad asks.

“He says it’s a rather pressing matter and he’d rather talk to you directly,” Beta Jon replies, and he glances over at me. “And to Miss Savannah too.”

Me?

“What is this about?” I ask in confusion.

“Only one way to find out,” Dad shrugs and he gives his hand to me.

I pause for a beat before taking it, contemplating whether or not I should see him. But I am curious as to why he’s here. And so, I take my dad’s hand and he leads me out of the room.
