  As I stood on the threshold of the warlock's chamber, a chill wind swept through my hair, carrying with it murmurs of whispered incantations.   Locking eyes with the warlock, I could see the satisfaction in his twisted sneer. "So, Miss Isla, you've come to meet your end, my dear hybrid witch," he taunted.
