Chapter 33

In the sterile white hospital bed, Azalea sat with sunken eyes, her face crumpled with pain. She gazed blankly out of the window, completely oblivious to her surroundings. The nurses entered and exited her room, each one taking her blood for tests or checking on the IV, their actions merely a blur.

One nurse approached, standing in front of Azalea and leaning over her with concern. Meeting Azalea's gaze, she spoke softly, her voice filled with empathy. "You must be exhausted after being confined here for so long. Would you like to take a walk outside? You've been looking out that window for quite a while now." The nurse, a vibrant and gentle soul, had bangs covering her forehead, and her eyes shone brightly. Azalea's gaze suddenly came alive upon seeing her, and an involuntary smile graced her lips.
