Chapter 154. Bonding
THEY both glance at their phones, and they don't have a signal.
Lucian pushed the emergency button in the elevator to respond to the person at the other end of the intercom.
"What's the estimated time to get this fixed? There's a pregnant lady trapped in here." He yelled on the intercom.
Soon a voice replied, “Sir, we already called the maintenance, and it should be fixed within 20 - 30 minutes.”
Latton frowns, "My mother will be looking for me. I can't even message her." She said to herself.
Hearing that she sat in the far right corner away from Lucian and heaved deeply. “What are the odds, I just want to get away with him and here I am stuck with him alone in this dimly lit place.” She mumbled to herself while caressing her belly.
He glanced at her and then sat on the other side of the lift. The silence made everything awkward. Soon he cleared his throat. She peeked at him, waiting for him to speak, but he did not. Instead, he avoided her gaze.
