“I’m telling you this now because...” Zenee closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “Because he... he needs your help...” Zenee was trying hard not to stutter, but she just couldn’t. With Zayden already crying in front of her, she couldn’t stop herself from crying either because she was pained to see him like that.
“Why are you telling me this just now, Mo-” Zayden did not continue what he was about to say because he felt like it was wrong. “What should I call you, though?” he sarcastically asked while faking a laugh. “Why did you wait all these years to tell me this, Auntie?!”
“Zayden...” Zenee was about to hold Zayden’s hands, but he immediately stepped back right before she could do it.
Zayden did his best to control his tears and contain his emotions. He wiped his tears, took a deep breath, and looked up for a second as if doing that would prevent his tears from coming down.
