Chapter 24
Noella’s POV
My life returned to normal—no going out without permission. I was again locked in my chamber. With my saddened facial expression, I sat on my soggy bed, mumbling to no one’s ears. It is morning, yet no one has come, not even Austin. Has he rejected me? I do miss him a bit, and I can’t wait for his life to be mine.
Minutes later, alone in the bedroom, a knock comes from the door. I sighed, knowing fully well that it was the maids.
“Is it now that they know human beings still leave here?” I scoffed, sitting elegantly on the bed. “Come in,” I said with a loud voice.
Surprisingly, it was Aragon, and he entered my room after a short bow.
“What are you doing here?” I asked with my eyes and mouth wide open.
“I’m here to give you some words of advice before it becomes too late.” He walked away from the door, and I rolled my eyes. Standing from the bed, I walked over to the large, half open window.
