Chapter 23
Noella’s POV
I leaned my back flat on the wall like I want to bury myself in it, wearing a dark pair of trousers and a thick hoodie. I have succeeded in entering Abel’s mansion unnoticed. It’s already evening, and the dim moonlight would not let one see me completely, especially with the shady trees. The yard was quiet; possibly only the sound of crickets residing in bushes could be heard. I tiptoed in the yard, heading towards their bedroom chamber.
“It is now or never.” I increased my pace. Soon I started hearing voices in front of me, and immediately I took cover behind the pillar.
“I’m really pissed off serving these wimps,” one of them whispered in annoyance.
“We just have to keep up with them; you know they pay the best, and we need to relocate to the city soon.”
