Chapter 34
Noella’s POV
I sat on the bed beside Austin, arranging the duvet for him, while the doctor retired.
“How is he, doctor?” I questioned Austin with my eyes.
“Luckily it’s a leg injury and the poison hasn’t gone farther,” the doctor paused.
“I will recommend some medication for him to use; in the meantime, avoid giving him oily food.” The doctor scratches his beard, and I nod.
“Will he be fine?” Even when the doctor gave me hope, I was not fully content with it.
“Hopefully, he will. If he passes the first dangerous phase, then he will be fine,” the doctor said, starting to arrange his medicine bag while I looked at Austin dolefully.
This was an unpredicted event, and my heart hurts to see him in this state. I sighed sadly.
“But...” then I remember, he went hunting with someone and not himself.
“Max!” I called out with a loud voice.
“Yes, Miss. Noella,” he said, rushing into the chamber and quickly bowing.
