Noella’s POV
“You are joking, right?” Aragon’s eyebrows were raised; he looked astonished.
“I can do that; please let me,” Max said persuasively.
“I will do it.” I walk closer to him, looking pale.
He is my life now; that’s all my inner beast could relay to me.
“I won’t let you do that.” Aragon grabbed my arm, looking anxious. He was not willing to see me risk my life in the name of love or to prove some sort of loyalty.
“Let me do it,” I reassured him with a smile and turned to Max.
“You both are dismissed,” I instructed.
It took them a few minutes and a lot of thinking before they left the chamber.
I took the small dagger lying on the wooden table and tore open his wound; immediately, blood started gushing out. I wasted no time sucking in all the blood; it was tasteless and salty, yet I didn’t break my mouth away from the open spot until the blood reduced in quantity.
