Chapter 17. Seven Thousand Dollars
“We’re leaving,” Giveon said firmly, looking straight into my eyes. It was obvious that he was annoyed.
But as for me, I was confused. I was trying to make sense of what was happening. Why was he talking to me like this? “I don’t understand,” I confessed.
“Let her be, dude,” One of the boys at the table said.
“Stay the f*ck out of grown up’s’ conversation or I will f*ck you up before you can even blink,” Giveon replied to him in a harsh and cold tone.
Seeing him like that sent shivers down my spine. His pupils were dilated and he looked like he was not even joking around.
The boys at the table didn’t say anything, they were afraid. They knew their place. They stood on their feet and left, leaving us alone.
I breathed out a sigh and attempted to hook some of my hair behind my ears but remembered that it was in a ponytail.
