Chapter 60. You’re Ready

One. Two. Three. 

I don’t know if it had been seconds or minutes, or even hours, but that was when I was set free from whatever that had taken control of my body.

I dropped to the ground and my knees kind of scraped a few small stones. Pain shot through them but I was more concerned about Noah, and whether he was okay or not.

I rushed to my feet and made my way over to the guy. He was awake, but he was coughing and looked like he was in pain.

“Oh my god, are you okay?” I was panicking. This was my fault, I didn’t know what had taken over me, but it was still my doing. “I’m so sorry, I—“

He coughed some more as he sat up. Then he stood up, dusting some of the dirt off him. “It’s fine, Sara. If anything, you should be proud. You just used your powers for the first time.” He smiled, but I could tell that he was in pain, and was just trying to hide it. 

“Are you sure you’re okay?”

He scoffed. “Stop worrying about me, I’m a big boy, I c
