Chapter 63. The Suburbs

We finally came to a stop in a new neighborhood. This one was far from our last, it was way nicer. It was literally a suburb, and there were street cameras everywhere.

It was really nice, and there were expensive cars parked almost everywhere. There were some kids playing across the street from where we parked, and everything just seemed so picture-perfect.

“Wow,” I said to myself as we got out of the car. I mean, I had an idea of where my mom and sister might move but this took the cake.

“Yeah, it’s nice, huh?” Giveon was by my side. 

“Yeah, it is.” I hooked some of my hair behind my ears. “Where’s the house?” I asked, intrigued.

He nodded towards the one that was right in front of us. “That’s where your mom lives now. And as for your sister, she lives two houses down from here with Kevin,” he explained.
