This was just as I had played out in my head even before I sat here to listen to this woman reeking of sophistication and yet, insecurity. It was obvious that not only did I cause the scandal, but also, I posed a threat to her and her relationship which I could not ascertain whether it was just a business relationship or she truly liked Andrew Blake.

But whatever it was, at that moment, did not matter immediately my phone rang aloud, interrupting the silence which weighed between us like a broken bridge. I peeked at my phone which sat on the center table, the call ID was Andrew B. I raised my head upwards, just in time to catch her gaze flickering over my phone. Her brows piqued up while I immediately turned the phone downwards, clearing my throat and bringing my attention fully to hers who sipped her coffee.

“You should answer the phone.” Jessenia Sanders said. The whole world called her Jesse probably because it was easier to remember.
