I took another look around the house, my shoulders heaving down in relaxation as I took another sip of the drink. He was right though, he knew how to make mocha. Currently, he was, in his words—giving me time to feel comfortable enough to be in the same space as him while he changed into something else. I didn’t feel uncomfortable though, I figured that was something needed to correct him about.

Andrew Blake didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. Neither is his house. I had merely been nervous because as much as it was my first time in such a building, it was also the first time I had come to his house. I wondered if Jesse had been here too. If she stood where I stood before, I wondered if he made mocha for her too, if she ever sat here too, or if she—they…if they did it here?
