Sapphire Watterson

Three days after the fight between Andrew and me, I had gotten out of his house that same night even though he insisted on calling a ride for me so I wouldn’t go home alone. I knew deep down that no matter how sweet his gestures were, they were not going to make me change my mind about him when the situation remained the same. It was time to move on and forward with my life.

Probably it was time to get over my past too. Texas was not my best memory of growing up but I did not want it to define my life anymore and that was why I accepted to get enrolled into the University of Pennsylvania. I was really doing this, going back to college and trying to do a course of study I wanted for myself. This meant something to me. I wasn’t just leaving Texas, I was going to make the most of it but first, I needed to see my colleagues at the cafe.

The cafe was busy as usual. Amelia gave directions on how everything worked while Carla managed the cashier
